A titanous, hipo-sized armored creature with two enormous pincers. vaugley resembles lobster colored like sand with moss in it. It has a thick neck and a head with a helmet that has holes and tiny beady black eyes. Prehensile feelers can emerge from the holes in its face. They can even act entirely independant of it's body. It's long body is suported by spindly legs, which grow shorter towards the fined tail, giving it a sloped posture. Taken as a whole, looking at it is odd, like looking at a living fosil built for survival. When observed though detect magic, it seemed to distinctly lack a magical signiture.

It seems to recognize Deep Speach, and took particular intrest in Mariana. When hurt, it retreated into the cell it had emerged from, even restoring the barrier.
