The Shadowfell is a Reflective Plane that is a desolate and bleak "echo" of the Material. Carris was a Shadar-kai, but it was unclear if he was from the Shadowfell of just of the Shadowfell.

The plane borders the Swamp of Oblivion, Fountains of Creation, and Cloudy Convulgence.
