"You get the Crux, you stop being semblances, and then you give it to me" -the Morkoth

Description

The Crux is an extremely powerful item that was shattered into five pieces long ago, each one scattered into a faraway location (4 of which are in each main elemental plane). It is capable of recategorizing the Reavers such that they can return home to the Material Plane. The location of its shards was given by the Morkoth in exchange for the Digit of Coeus and the promise that it would be given one of the shards once the Reavers were done using it.

History

The treacherous dukes convened that night at the call of Ahk, unknowingly heading the whispers of the Cloud God. It was there that Ahk unveiled what would be their greatest tool, and the instrument of their downfall. Reverliv, the eclipse blade, executioner of fate, and the greatest single weapon ever forged. Its great head could cleave through light itself, and all life caught in its depthless shadow was instantly extinguished. The other dukes quailed in its presence, some finally grasping the gravity of their betrayal, but Reverliv couldn't be stopped once it was in play. Its sheer presence bowed fate to the course that would bring the most carnage in its wake.

It was Ahk himself, with the borrowed strength of the Cloud God, that would bring Reverliv to bear on the Crux. Neither could withstand the presence of the other, so at the instant of annihilation, Reverliv and the Crux were shattered, their shards scattering across the cosmos as the last primordial empire died.

Four of the five shards of the Crux now reside in each of the Elemental Planes. If one were to be taken, it would destabilize the war between them all. The fifth shard's location is unknown, even to the Morkoth, but the lichsmith Mornum, imprisoned in the Fountains of Creation, may know. Wherever it is, it plays no less an important role than the other four.

The Morkoth also revealed that the reason for the shattering of the Crux was the Plane of Air wanting its time in the sun.
