• For the first time in a few days we are out in the sand as night is about to fall
  • As always, there is no clear sign of where light comes from but it dims, the wind picks up and pulls waving tendrils through the air
• As light is falling, Maeve notices a group of figures walking in our direction, she can see dark spots against the sand of objects that are not meant to be there
  • They are definitely humanoid but there is something more odd about their gait then the typical difficulty of walking through the dead
  • They look similar to the mummy things we fought on the way to the crypt
• Dorian casts Aid on Aster, Meph and Maeve
• The sand begins to swirl more tightly around us but it wont get as bad as it has been in the past, it won't tear us apart
• About 75 feet away, we see a green light come over the dune, then another(light a headlight of a car glowing through a fog), then a third
  • As they dance in the distance, we see so often a backlit silhouette of either a large creature or something else
  • We aren’t hearing the cries of the night terrors yet and these silhouettes are not quadrapedal, they are towering humanoid figures with bestial aspects to them, very tall
    • Aster hasn’t countered any of these alive, they are at least fairly sure that at least one of the things coming towards us is a minotaur
• The dude that stabbed Quill real bad and that we ran over with the crab is here, the weird squatting dude that was with the mummies last time
  • The more we watch, the more things start to spill from the dust in front of us
  • The dude who stabbed quill with a knife is within 30 ft of us
    • As it steps forward so does 3 minotaur skeletons and quite a number of mummified corpses and 3 green flaming skulls, one of them drifts over to Dorian
      • “Your presence is required by the Triumvirate”-the skull
    • The undead are forming a semicircle around us
    • Maeve feels a heavy hand on her shoulder and clares speaks to her “we cannot go with them”, “if we go before the Triumvirate, we will not be seen again with our skin”
    • Maeve casts turn undead
      • The many minotaur skeletons turn to flee and so do a bunch others, left in front of us is a mummy, two of the skulls and a dusty mummy(it makes and controls the dust)
• Initiative
  • Quill moves away from the party 15 ft staying sort of sideways but keeping close to gelvrever, sharpshooter, the arrow shoots through the skull and its flames dull and it falls for a bit but it flies up again though it does not look good, the 15 doesn’t hit
  • The two skulls fly off faster than any of us can run, they are smart and will probably come back with the others
  • Aster is moving a bit
  • Gelv walks up to the normal mummy and makes a few attacks
  • DD throws hammer at the same normal mummy(16 hits), its upper torso hass been completely removed
  • The dust mummy looks around, notices everyone left and just leaves
  • The normal mummy(just the legs and one arm) walks over to DD and hits them, they feel a stillness enter them from the mummies fits
  • Maeve casts spirit guardian(15 ft radius around Maeve), hazy mist, a faint almost bioluminescence scattered about
  • Dorian casts mirror image and gives bardic inspiration to Quill
  • Meph throws a bomb and explodes the half of a mummy standing in front of DD
  • All three green lights are visible again, they look lik they are planning something
    • Quill shot at one of the lights, not sure what happened but it is still lit
  • Meph hides behind one of the spires of bone, everyone else takes a dex save for each streak as three streaks of fire shoot towards us and impact the the ground
    • The music is “the visitor”
    • Quill and Maeve are down from the second fireball, Aster, Maeve, Quill, DD are all down now after the third fireball
• New initiative
  • Stabby boi immediately shoots from the dust and goes to plung a knife directly into gelvrever twice, one of them finds a space in the armour, his knife is terrible, it paralyzes you with agony, it plunges directly into Gelvrevers lower side and Gelvrever clearly flinches but has clearly felt worse(nat 20 on the save)
  • Quill fails a death save, he now has 2 fails
  • Dorian casts healing word at 3rd level on Quill giving him 7 hit points, Clares says that he can heal them, he also casts Vicious Mockery on knife guy but it succeds the save
  • Clares starts glowing, a light pouring out from between his golden scales until they themselves start to take on a golden glow, we can hear a tone rising as he hunches over, you can see rippling energy and he lets out a roar of celestial energy, everyone who is in front of him gain 28 health, and as the dust is shoved aside in Clares’ wake, we see 3 minotaur skeletons and a mummy become incinerated each taking 45 radiant damage, then he falls over
  • Flame skulls, three orbs of flaming fire appear around the group and fly inward(flaming sphere) they hit Dorian, Quill and Gelvrever, they are still there and they will all take damage when they end their turn but they are penning them in
  • The two dust mummies go after Meph behind the column, they land two hits and have her trapped behind the spire
  • DD sees the fodder, the skeletons and mummies pouring out of the fog
    • The flaming skulls are hanging in the fog, they dont need to see us to attack, they are exploiting our weaknesses
      • There is one in front of us, and one on either side of us
    • She throws an orantium bomb at one of the lights, also trying to hit a bunch of the fodder
      • Two lights go dark and a bunch of other stuff gets thrown out too
      • Two of the flame spheres are also gone now, the only one left is by Dorian
    • They throw sunder at the third light too, its light flickers but it stays alight, she hits again and the light is flickering
  • Two minotaur skeletons emerge from the wreckage of the bomb charging 
    • One charges Maeve, She raises her shield as she was unconscious and its horns stick on either side of her shield and push her back by Clares
    • The other charges Aster, they leap from lying down over a lowered horn and as they dive out of the way they make an stab at it with their dagger
  • Meph flashbangs the two by her and tries to slide out under one of them and acidentally slams right into its shin causing both of us to fall prone, Meph gets up and throws a bomb that doesn’t detonate then she runs to the other side of the spire to get closer to the group
  • Aster targets two mummies with burning hands and deals massive damage
  • Quill, Meph and Maeve are frightened by the mummy
  • Maeve hits a mummy with a sword
  • A lot of us are vulnerable to all damage
  • Knife dude tries to stab Gelvrever and fails
  • Quill with a mummy around his neck, he hunches toward the ground and molds into shadows and melts into the shadow and appears 10 ft back with bow drawn and shoots the mummy in the face, he kills the mummy
  • There is one flame skull left, the knife guy, the dust mummies around the corner, two mummies and 2 skeleton minotaurs
  • Dorian does some magic shtuff and knife guy runs away at 100ft and Gelv gets a swing at him as it leaves
  • Clares heals Quill with Lay on hands and Quill is no longer hearing the song
  • The flaming skull moves the flame sphere to Dorian and then emerges from the fog and sends three bolts of fire at Dorian but only manages to hit a mirror image
  • one dust mummy walk to the center of the group and they do a sand vortex
    • The other one goes to meph and downs her
  • DD goes to Meph, grabs the jug and pulls the crimson cork healing Meph
  • The minotaur skeletons turn around and try to ram the same people again
  • Meph grabs the jug that DD dropped and pulls the turquoise cork sending the dust mummy into the sand ceiling and tearing it to shreds as it flies then she stands up and aims her crossbow at the mummy in front of Maeve hitting it dead in the head and it falls over, its wrappings falling off it as it falls
  • Aster casts burning hands at the mummies near them and skeletons near them, they walk towards Meph
  • Gelvrever chops one leg and one arm off the mummy and then bifurcates it
  • 2 minotaur skeletons, knife guy, and the light in the distance are left
  • Maeve Maeve’s all over the minotaur and whoever attacks it next has advantage
  • Quill runs through the sand and it sort of parts with the shadows, he shoots an arrow into one of the eye sockets, it flies off to the sideand its fire dies out but it gets back up and fire starts again and it flies at Quill with its mouth open. As it flies back to Quill, he takes a step back in surprise, pulling the string of his bow and sends an arrow into its mouth, its jaw just explodes and Quill bolts back to the group
  • Knife guys charges out of the darkness from the direction Quill came from and pounces on Clares, he stabs Clares right in the edge of the neck area and is paralyzed
  • Dorian casts Bane on all three enemies left, the 2 minotaurs and knife guy
  • Clares, is paralyzed
  • DD throws sunder at the minotaur that Maeve attacked, DDDD moves into opportunity attack range of the minotaur that they just hit
  • Meph does literally nothing
  • Gelvrever murders one of the minotaurs
  • Quill deals 60 damage(the crit) to the knife guy
    • He gets back and sees the dude running next to him, he takes a slash at him and tales some tail fuzz, Quill turns around while in the speed of zephyr strike and super hero slides to a stop, he shoots an arrow send two stream sof broken shadow impacting twice in the chest of the knife guy who melts into shadow himself
  • Dorian runs in to cast vicious mockery on the minotaur
  • Meph hits the minotaur with her crossbow, it is crumbling
  • Aster hits it for 2 cold damage
  • Gelv goes over, cuts the minotaurs head off and stabs it with its own horn and it crumbles to dust
• We move the skiffs, pick up the jug and handle whatever else needs to be handled
