"Blood in the Waterskin" is the 5th session of Season 4.
The party arrives at the entrance to the Morkoth's realm.
It was played on June 15, 2024.

Plot
- Maeve is putting spells into her crystal
- 2 healing words 1st level
- 1 healing word 2nd level
- Aella has Astraea use sending to tell Arthur good night and hopes it remembers her and asks if there are other ways to communicate besides sending
- Arthur responds: "hear the stars. Well even to Ale. Remember the colors. I am always in communion with spelling."
- Long rest happened, nothing bad happened
- All the reavers made it back last night
- The emissary had a cloak that was found, it only said one word “progress”
- Quill rifles through the items piles and tries to find stuff to make waterbreathing potion, he finds a glowing blue potion
- It is not a waterbreathng potion, from uncorking it, you can tell it doesn’t have anything to do with, when it is uncorked a note is played E sharp 3, it will not do damage
- Quill takes a swig, d6 and wisdom save, he starts hearing a quiet chord played in strings and slowly it builds into a symphony that only he can hear, it is melodic
- Lya drinks it too, she hears an orchestral piece that she recognizes
- Both Quill and Lya are hearing the same song, its one that Dorian composed, from the clockwork symphony suite
- Quill's restarted
- Daisy Daisy also takes a drink, there are 2 more doses left
- Meph has brewed 8 waterbreathing potions
- People are looking for stuff to hide their uniqueness
- Lead has been found and Aella is trying to make an eyepatch for Aster
- She is able to work it into a properly sized not too heavy eyepatch, she draws a little crescent moon on it

- The reavers have headed out for the day except for Clares who is going to show us how to get to the Morkoth's thing
- We all learned that Aella and Mariana don’t have reflections
- Aster is leaving the armillary sphere at the armide and the monocle is left as well (swapped for old glasses)
- Clares says that we are meeting Sahlaia
- We are taking 3 skiffs

- The sand the day before had been littered with the sandstone blocks but it has completely returned to how it was when we had gotten here except the sky is lower than it was previously in fact our masts slightly drag through it (high wind day)
- We head out and turn around completely and head in the opposite direction of where we had been traveling
- The skiffs are not immensely easy to control today, there are a couple times where the sky above is very close and we drive through dust
- We travel for three vigils
- Quill, Lya and Daisy Daisy still are hearing the music, they are beginning to think they just gave themselves an earworm
- We start seeing a white shape off in the distance and suddenly 100ft away rise a pari of bone white spires that almost look like ribs, there is a skiff at the bottom, Sahlaia and Aricys
- As we get closer a network of cracks goes up the spires and a dark red liquid seeps from them and drops into the sand below
- It is staining a rusty brown pool at the bottom of the spires
- They do not know how to get to the Morkoth
- Meph hands out a waterbreathing potion to everyone except Mariana and Dorian
- They dont know how to open it, someone was able to go through and come back but they didn’t explain well
- Aella walks through the spires, nothing happens
- Lya touches the red liquid and it smells like metal, she tastes it too, it tastes like blood
- Dorian investigates, the spires are entirely smooth except for the cracks, as he is looking, he notices the blood stops for a second and then starts again
- Aella is ritual casting detect magic
- Aster is arcana-ing it, unless the cracks literally just formed, there is definitely magic here, it is unquestioningly magical
- Magical for sure, it is magical for a different purpose other than just what it does, mostly conjuration and transmutation, the whole thing is magical
- Lya tries to climb, she tries, she stickers her fingers into the cracks, its a little squishy and she is covered in blood
- Aella makes an attack on the ribs trying to make a crack in the ribs, it breaks the sword
- Aella punches it, it hurts really bad specifically in her shoulder, its getting worse
- Lya cuts her hand with a dagger then puts the dagger into one of the cracks
- She shoved the blade into the gap of the bone white material, feels it in there then it goes farther but then a squirt of liquid squirts over her arm and burns like acid
- You can see clearly that if you interact with the flow of blood, it tends to stick to the same path, there is no indication that it has ever been fully covered, there is a way to get the blood to flow up the spire
- The more people that drink the blood the blood flows up, as more is consumed, an orb of the blood grows between the two spires, it grows bigger the more people, the orb finally grows large enough to touch the tips of the spires and it falls in a curtain of blood
- Mariana goes through
- We all follow Mariana
- We step through the curtain and don’t find ground on the other side, we find ourself in a churning flow of fluid, we can only see red
- Quill and Aella drank their waterbreathing potion
- Flailing isn’t working much, we can find other people but we can’t see
- At this point everyone has drank their waterbreathing potion
- Mariana is attempting to gather people, she has Aella, Aster and Maeve
- Meph found DD, they didn’t drink the waterbreathing potion and Meph noticed them torn from their grasp
- Everyone is together now
- Meph is trying to hold her breath,it doesnt work
- Quill is the first to have his potion wear off, he feels his chest getting tight, not much longer now, he cant hold it anymore and he feels himself get ripped and so deos everything else
- Everyone lands hard on a hard ivory surface and everyone is coughing up blood
- We find ourselves somewhere very different
- The ground in front of and around us is the same substance as the spires were made of and trickling from ourselves is the blood that we just came through and behind us is a duplicate of the portal frame though it seems to not be active
- The ground if occasionally broken by figures, reminds us of dorians plating or the spires but they are filled in with purple crystalline structure
- Strewn around are all numbers of buildings that are haphazardly put, some are in the same purple stuff
- Above us is a void of islands and other stuff
- Aella feels a presence, somewhere here and it crackles with electricity, she can feel a building charge somewhere
- There is a dirt hut incased in the same purple stone sort of hphazardly leaned against a blacksmiths shop sort of
- The first thing we noticed when we came through the portal is a waystone that has been somehow both clearly moved here and damaged and we have seen neither, there is a gouge on one end and coming out of it are silver rods twisting out like
- The first island that catches our eye looks like the outside edge of an enormous hand
- Aella thinks that some of the islands are pieces of huge remains each with scars of cataclysmic events
- Aella wants to see if there are any signs of movement or life
- Other than the slight shift that happens in the sky above, she sees two things, first there is a faint slowly pulsing blue glow coming from the way the blood was flowing and second there is a large head staring at us from behind the blacksmith, it has a huge forehead, she thinks its the thing we saw in the menagerie under the arena that just disappeared
- Mariana and Aella specifically notice one of the tops of the tower that are used for firing the lance
- As they approach the spire there seems to be the back section of a red sandstone throne room, its the chunk of the keep that fell into the ocean and siting on the throne incased in the gem is the duke
- There are people in the top of the spire too
- Most things are visually interesting but not everything
- There isnt anything here that Quill is familiar with
- The thing that catches Mephs eye is a ship off towards the right side of the path, clearly a ship designed for being neutrality buoyant in air, it is propped up on a set of wooden latices, if its not the same ship that she remembers it of the same dry dock
- Things are encased in the purple crystal that aren’t shelf stable
- DD recognizes the top of the central tower of the Rose Grove stronghold
