• Trying to decide whether or not to open the gem first or explore first
• Aella still has detect magic up, no other area is magical from sheer observation from the outside
• Aella starts going to the closest building that isn’t the wizard house
• All of the buildings are low mud buildings made of brick, this closest one only resembles a building,no other distinguishing features, the doorway faces the central fire
• Aella is going in to the building first, shield ready
  • It is a basic residence, such a space may haveheld up to ten people if necessary
  • Roughly broken up into “rooms” without a divide, there are spaces for work and rest
  • A roof has collapsed in towards the back
  • Taking a closer look at the room, what catches your eye is a pair of skeletons just barely under the area where the roof caves in
  • There is something slightly shiny in the pile of bones
  • There is a cloak and rug shoved under
• Aella is investigating the shiny thing, its like a prism,  in the skeletons, it isnt shiny in the magic spectrum, get the feeling that the skeletons are notjust next to eachother but are somehow intertwined, like the finger bones are all together
• Mariana is looking at the cloak
  • It is rolled slightly in the rug, the rug was most likely used to protect the cloak
  • The rug slides out from under the cloak and goes towards Mariana’s face, initiative 
  • Mariana is restrained, grappled, and blinded by the rug, it is attempting to choke her
  • Mariana eldritch blasted the rug and took damage for it, it is probably because she was attacking something on her face
  • Rey trying to take the rug off of mariana by unrolling and pulling it off of her, unsuccessful
  • Aella hexes it and then tries to yank it off, also unsuccessful
  • The rug launches Mariana to the ground
  • Mariana casts command with the word being release, it still has her head, it doesn’t understand her. It throws her around again
  • Rey is casting guiding bolt at Mariana, Mariana takes more damage, there is a hole in it now
  • Aella is curing woundsing herself, the rug throws Mariana down again and into the skeletons
  • Mariana is trying to use gust of wind to push the rug off of herself, the rest of the roof gets sent up into the sand leaving a sizable whole in the roof of sand, the rug tightens its grip on Mariana 
  • Rey casts guiding bolt again, parts of the rug is starting fall off and frey
  • Mariana uses Misty step to leave the building
  • The rug wrapped around itself then worked out again and it wraps itself around Aella’s left leg
  • Aella threatened to kill Rey if she cast a spell on her again, Rey cast guiding bolt again, Aella is casting thunderwave on Rey and the rug, Aella and Mariana are unconscious, the rug is gone
  • Aella is not wearing the crown btw
  • Rey gives them both 9 health back but casts it on Mariana specifically out of spite
  • Rey is standing over Aella as she wakes up and immediately yells ‘WTF is wrong with you??’
  • Aella is not breaking contact with Rey, there are a few sparks of lightning in her eyes(Aella has a theme now)
  • Mariana is trying to calm Aella down by reminding her that this won’t amount to anything, encouraging her to take her anger out on something other than Rey, Mariana is standing in between them
  • Rey is backing out the door slowly while keeping her eyes on Aella
  • Astraea is standing behind Rey joining in on the conversation now, Rey turns around confused, Mariana is also confused, Aella does not hear Aster
  • Aella takes off the ring, she drops it on the floor, “It is unlady like to turn your back on the Tempest Queen”
  • Aella throws Mjolnir and strikes Rey to the ground
  • There are no pupils, her eyes are pure lightning
  • Mjolnir vanishes
  • Aella reaches out to Mariana and says that its not to late, she doesn’t need to be involved, “sister, I would like to give you one last chance, step aside.”
  • Mariana’s hair starts to wave almost as if underwater, from the edges of her eye, you see sort of an inky murky darkness seep from the sclera into the pupil. Out of Mariana’s chest, similar to the tentacle she summons from the group, erupts dark ghostly tentacles 
  • Rey, still on the ground from the the hammer, casts charm person on Aella, it fails
  • Aster notices it isn’t Aella, something is very wrong so they brace themselves
  • Thunder crackles in the distance then lightning strikes down on herself as she gains more hit points. Rey and Aster are 20 feet away and Mariana is roughly 5 feet away from Aella. Lightning whip attack against Mariana without any emotion in her face, it hits Mariana, slashing across her check, bringing her down as the whip unfurls. There is not a hint of Aella in her eyes, as the lighting tendril comes towards Mariana, you could see the first look of emotion that you have seen on her in quite some time, a combination of disappointment and as cliche as it is, a single tear. Mariana is down
  • Aella steps over Marianas body, “May your retribution be quick, for this will be the last time you speak.” she looks only a little for a second or two at her sister on the floor, crooks her head a bit then stares at Rey through Aster
  • Astraea regretfully casts ray of frost, it is extremely unnerving and they remember that they’ve heard talk of doubles destroying each other, Astraea drags Rey further from Aella and steps back in front of Rey
  • “Aster, I think its best that you step out of this one… it is best not to get in my path”-Aella
  • Rey casts Healing Word on Mariana(if Aella were to down Mariana again, Mariana would be on 5 levels of exhaustion) Aella knows that this was cast, Aella looks quickly at the healing spell being cast, she doesn’t look towards her sister, she just cocks her head back and talks to her saying that she should back down for this one thing. Mariana sighs and shakes her head but Aella does not see her shake her head and interprets that as her backing down
  • Aella gives a neat little speech about how Rey had avoided the assasinations before and she didnt think much of it but now she is annoyed. She tries to attack Rey, she tries to attack with spells but her spells are not working. The lighting in her eyes goes away and she closes her eyes, when she opens them again, they appear as dark storm clouds. Aella casts arc of lighting and it hits Aster “I’m sorry Aster, I didn’t mean to do this to you”, it arcs around and hits Rey as well, Rey drops unconscious, Aella falls to her knees and holds her face in her hands, five seconds pass and you hear her sob uncontrollably, she tries really hard to get up but she can’t get up, she tries to cast a spell towards Rey but she doesn’t have the strength. She drops her shield and rolls into a ball, there is crack in the shield. She is out just crying for a bit

  • Mariana stands up and walks 20 feet towards Astraea and Rey, she hands Aster a health potion “If you wouldn’t mind talking Rey off towards the others and giving her this, I’m going to talk to my sister”-Mariana and she turns back to her sister
  • Ullanor uses lay on hands on Rey, he picks her up and starts moving her out of the area
  • Rey is now conscious and and has an extra level of exhaustion. She is near the fire pit, away from the building. She wakes up, Astraea is here, everyone else is still a statue. Aster hands Rey the health potion from Mariana
  • Aella hears someone approaching and goes “please stay away, I don’t know what I did”. Mariana sits down and moves Aella’s head onto her lap, “I didn’t want to hurt you, I don’t know what happened, I’m sorry sister.”-Aella “It’s hard to find words.”-Mariana. Mariana wants to figure out what triggered Aella to do that, Aella clenches her hand onto Mariana’s leg, saying she knows she would never hurt her, Mariana isn’t sure of that anymore. It was just rage and darkness, fury and anger, that she couldn’t talk to Mariana. She wasn’t there, but she saw. “The actions were made with my hands but not my soul” she looks in terror almost at her hand that she used to cast the spells “this was meant to protect us, it was meant to protect you.” Aella reaches out to touch Mariana’s new scar and Mariana stops her, Aella asked what she did to her. Mariana thinks that something may be in Aella or have a grasp on her and they should figure out what it wants. Aella gets off her sister and digs her hand into the soil, she can’t make a fist with her right hand anymore. 
  • “Things have felt different since washing up on the beach”-Mariana. Aella wants to know what she can do to make it right again. Aella grabs Paris’ chain and clings to it tightly, she says she saw what happened and it hurt. She removed her hand from the chain which left a sear mark on her hand. Aella is talking about going off on her own, she is saying she could find her own way, that it might be best to leave the group, Mariana is looking down at the ring on her finger, Aella gets the other ring back from the sand where she dropped it, Aella present the ring, Mariana grabs it and gives Aella a hug "We’ll figure this out, we always have and we always will."-Mariana.
