Appearance

Being an Eladrin, Lyandra's physical appearance varies depending on what season she is currently in. In order of appearance:

Winter: While in winter, Lyandra has light blue skin and long primarily white hair, which shifts to a light, then dark blue towards the tips. Her hair is styled with half of it up in a bun, while the rest is down.

Summer: While in summer, Lyandra has vibrant yellow skin and light orange hair that turns brown and then red as it reaches the ends. Her hair stops just above her shoulders, a stark contrast to her winter form.

Autumn: While in Autumn, Lyandra has deep red skin and similarly deep reddish-brown hair, which shifts from a brighter red to orange as it reaches the ends. Her hair is long again in this form, with loops on either side of her hair that connect into a small braid in the back.

Spring: While in Spring, Lyandra has earthy green skin and light pink hair, which shifts to a light purple and then to a bright yellow towards the ends. It is styled into two buns, which have alternating purple and yellow stripes.

Lyandra's outfit features a black bodysuit, with a diamond-shaped cutout on her chest and the symbol of her kingdom, Aysa Shaeras, on her stomach. In addition, she wears a dark blue rippled skirt, with matching detached sleeves. She does have a cloak that matches these as well, however she does not wear it frequently. Her boots come up to her thighs, and feature kneepads with an image of a sun on them. All her belts feature an upside down triangle, the core part of Aysa Shaeras' symbol. She wears fingerless gloves, showcasing both her ring, a gift signifying her relationship with Princess Sylviana of Aysa Shaeras, and the pinkie on her left hand, which is tan regardless of her season as it originally belonged to Mephitis. 

As of Season 6 Episode 9, Springtime, Lyandra is missing her right arm all the way up to her shoulder, with a large burn scar where it used to be.

 

Personality

Lyandra always presents as a joyful and easy-going person. She's very innately curious, and will often ask for more details on just about anything she hears, seemingly unaware as to whether or not those questions cross any boundaries. She carries this personality regardless of season, with the belief that she has no reason to act more 'aligned' with her current season, as those stronger feelings can already be seen on her skin. This does not, however, mean that her personality doesn't shift upon a season change. Most notably, upon her shift into summer, Lyandra was much more abrasive and harsh, indicating a short temper she usually has a better handle on.

Despite her general lighthearted demeanor, Lyandra is very capable of getting serious as well. She is silent and focused in combat, and great at listening and giving advice when it's needed. In addition, due to her background as a soldier, she is very adept in strategizing and adequetly distributing labor. She is also very intelligent, enough so to master the same amount of magic as a novice wizard, and to help Aster work out the details of getting the Armide through the sand ceiling.

As of Season 6 Episode 9, Springtime, she seems unable to take things seriously, and to a point of falling into heavy laughing fits when confronted with serious situations, including the loss of her arm.

Background

According to her memory, Lyandra (and Weiss) spent her whole life in Aysa Shaeras, working initially as a member of the kingdom's reconnaissance team. It was in this position where she was recognized by the royal family, and promoted to be the personal guard of it's princess, Sylviana. They became romantically involved, going as far as to exchange rings, officially promising themselves to each other. Lyandra lived contentedly, more than willing to spend the rest of her life in that position.

It was a shock, then, when the news came to her of Sylviana's disappearance, leaving no traces behind. Lya helped how she could with search parties, however when no progress was made eyes turned to her. It was her job to protect the princess, and as far as the law was concerned, Sylviana's disappearance was a blatant failure of the task she was given. For this crime, Lyandra was found guilty without a hearing, and given the option to chose between death or exile. She chose exile, being send to the Plane of Dust, where she first encountered Meph and was brought to join The Reavers.
